* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, periods of snow and lake enhanced snow. Additional snow accumulations 4 to 7 inches across Oswego and northern Cayuga counties, and 2 to 4 inches across Jefferson and Lewis counties today through tonight. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 1 to 2 feet possible in the most persistent lake snows across Oswego County, with 8 to 14 inches possible across far northern Cayuga, southern Jefferson, and far western Lewis counties. * WHERE...Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties. * WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 AM EST Tuesday. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 7 AM Tuesday to 7 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult at times with snow covered roads and poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow will oscillate north and south multiple times Tuesday through Thursday. This will bring very changeable conditions, and also allow for cleanup between rounds of lake effect snow. Information: Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands.
